Wonderful! (And quaint photo as well!) Do you need some Turkey Tips in advance this time--so your mom doesn't get a 6-hour delay emergency email on how to thaw/prepare/cook the ole' bird?! Or, judging from the shop, will it be fresh?! At least you again have one American friend who can help you get excited about the holiday! Are you going to try to search for pumpkin or not bother? ~Mom
It will be fresh and not a whole bird. Due to many considerations (not the least are oven size and the skill of the cook)I got two turkey breasts. Won't have the same look but will probably be more successful in the long run. Allison is going to make a pumpkin cheesecake. Anni is in the States right now (don't get me started on the irony of the German being in America for Thanksgiving and the Americans not being) and gets back on Saturday so she is going to buy some canned pumpkin. There will be a lot of people over so it should be fun. I'm really looking forward to sharing one of my favorite holidays with my friends over here. Don't worry, I'll make sure to blog about the whole thing!
