How to choose a picture to represent my day in Monet's Garden?

Way too difficult of a task

So instead of trying to find one that captured the gardens essence  I decided to pick the one I knew my mom would love the most - a purple iris. After the tough year she's had I know seeing these in Monet's Garden was a memorable and monumental experience. 

I'm also extremely excited that it looks purple not blue (I know only shutterbugs will understand why)

Today I had a day worthy of Alexander. In his honor I write this post. 

I went to sleep last night after 1 am and this morning I had to get up by 7 and as I pulled my sock on it got a hole in the heel and when I went to pull out my entrance and metro tickets I couldn't find them and I could tell it was going to be a terrible,  horrible,  no good, very bad day.

Why the trip into town you ask?

She didn't have exact change for two singles for Anni's birthday breakfast so she bought a day saver and we decided to go wild!

Anni's friend from Germany came to visit her this weekend and, since Coventry isn't exactly a lovely or good representation of England, we decided to go to Cambridge.  At first we were going to take a bus and/or train. That option, however, would have taken at least three hours one way. Our next plan included renting a car - a manual,  which I (being over 25) would have to drive. This somehow transformed into borrowing Pippa - still with me driving.

I jokingly asked Felipe to hold my laptop so I could keep watching

(really, I wasn't serious)

Satwik then proceeded to ruin the episode by telling me a major event that happened at the end 

(It was the How I Met Your Mother episode just before Christmas so you might know what I'm talking about)
